Description
PowerPoint Viewer allows you to view and print PowerPoint presentations. You cannot edit a presentation with pptview. pptview is an Intel PE (i386-pc-pe) binary and requires Wine to run.
You may want to try openoffice.org-impress, which is free software and can also view and edit PowerPoint presentations. |

Can you run Powerpoint Viewer on Linux simply as a viewer, as its intended? No need for the ability to edit the presentation.

Ubuntu 9.10
Doesn't work on my Ubuntu 9.10. I can't seem to read the files. Maybe if you put the presentation into /usr/tmp/powerpointviewer/ where the compressed file was.
