Kdenlive! (pronounced Kay-den-live) is a Non-Linear Video Editing Suite for KDE. It is released under the GNU Public License. Kdenlive uses Piave as it's video rendering engine to display and manipulate video clips. We have now reached our first milestone release. Kdenlive is being developed as a suite of several seperate programs, to aid in the reuse of resources and to allow the program to be spread across multiple computers.

I'm suprised it not in more repositories

This is a very effective and featureful application whilst also having drag-and-drop capability and a very user friendly UI. Unlike kino, it can easily use video formats other than DV without importing. However, do not forget the auto-save feature, as this application does occasionally crash..
