Description
Hotwire is a primary replacement for a terminal emulator, with an innovative graphical user interface, oriented towards developers and system administrators. It can natively do about 80-90% of what one would normally do in a terminal with a shell, and can also embed a terminal by itself. .

a promising terminal replacement
Once a few more features are added like alias support Hotwire will be an appealing terminal emulator for many people. Especially those new to the command line.
Once the Windows development catches up to the Linux version it will be a nice replacement for the Windows command prompt.
I like that it maintains a path/directory history and shows the percent completion of some commands.
