Integrates well with Unity
I recently started an experiment to see how well I would like Ubuntu's default Unity interface in 11.04 and needed a way to automatically check for new messages. gm-notify integrates right into the existing messaging menu and changes the icon to a blue color when there is a new message. Clicking icon to open the menu reveals how many new messages there are.
