I managed to rip a DVD to my hard disk and when I try to transcode it to avi I can see the following error:
"error: this version of transcode supports only
directories containing files of identical file type.
Please clean up directory /tmp/vob/ and restart.
file /tmp/vob/vts_01_3.vob with filetype unknown file type is invalid for directory mode."
